Public Enemy, Fear Of A Black Planet
Regular price $20.25
One of the most important and pivotal Hip Hop records of all time, Fear of a Black Planet is the third studio album from Public Enemy. Originally released in 1990 on Def Jam/Columbia Records, it was a critical and commercial success. Recorded during what many consider the "golden age of hip hop," the elaborate production broke boundaries with it's numerous samples, media sound bites, and unconventional hard hitting production. Fear of A Black Planet's themes explore empowerment within the Black community, social issues, institutional racism, and white supremacy - rendering the lyrics just as relevant today as they were 30 years ago.
